1997 VW Eurovan Camper (winnebago conversion). This is the full camper with furnace, stove, fridge, sink, poptop etc. Awning. Trailer hitch used for bikes, 118,1XX miles. $12,500.
All the camping gear is in working order with a few exceptions:
1: Some tears in the screens on the pop top. The canvas is tear free and in good shape other than some dirt stains.
2: The LED panel showing tank levels turns on but is not accurate. This has never worked since we got it. I had a led panel in my Vanagon camper and that never worked either.
3: Fridge does not get very cold on propane.
4: A soft spot in the wood floor near the sliding door.
When I bought this camper 6 years ago @ 103,000 miles we used the gowesty template to fix it up. By no means am I saying our camper is up to the level of a gowesty restoration (as you can see by the price we are asking). I did want to address some preventative maintenance items so this is what I had done to it by my trusted VW mechanic.
At 103,000 miles we did the following:
*new tires (2 were replaced by the previous owner prior to us purchasing the van, 2 replaced by us)
*new brakes all around
*all fluids changed including the transmission fluid, brake fluid, oil, coolant, etc.
*replaced the plastic impeller water pump with a metal impeller water pump (preventative maintenance)
*all new pipes/hoses/fittings for the coolant system (preventative maintenance)
*new vacuum lines/spark plugs/spark plug wires, etc
*anything that was questionable we had it repaired/replaced
I would not hesitate to drive this to California tomorrow.
The body is fair. It has some dings and nicks but no dents. There are some painted over rust spots. I have not driven the van in the winter but the previous owner did. They painted over the rust spots so I have been touching the areas up the same way.
Interior: This van has been camped in. It has some spots on the fabric. Everything functions as it should with the above exceptions.
